Job Summary
This Application Analyst will support one or more high-availability healthcare applications used in the periprocedural and inpatient spaces in a complex healthcare setting. The analyst will be part of a 24/7/365 on‑call rotation, diagnose incidents, and execute steps to correct, manage or redirect them quickly and correctly. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required, along with the ability to organize, facilitate and drive meetings with other IT teams, vendors and clinical participants.
The analyst will also be responsible for the technical aspects of implementing, maintaining, supporting and decommissioning applications, demanding high productivity, proactivity and professionalism, and the ability to work effectively in a highly collaborative team environment.
This is a hybrid position, with approximately 70% work‑from‑home and 30% on‑site, although this can vary depending on product needs.
Key Responsibilities- Design, build, install, configure, and develop software to support clinical and operational workflows.
- Analyze clinical or operational workflows supported by the assigned products and their relationship to the technical environment.
- Perform analysis and design of supporting technical infrastructures.
- Support clinical or operational implementations for assigned products, including testing, QA, reporting, product life cycle, communication with customers and vendors, and user training.
- Additional duties may be assigned as a general overview of the position.
- Experience with Windows OS & Office
365 tools, Atlassian tools, Windows Server Administration, and application support (Required). - Experience with SQL querying, HL7 proficiency, Mirth Engine, and general understanding of network architecture (Preferred).
- Configuration Management and Planning (Novice):
Competent to apply changes or develop new functions based on system design, collaborate with knowledgeable users and customers, and manage tasks and schedules to meet deadlines. - Technical Analysis (Novice):
Able to analyze and develop solutions to moderately complex issues related to assigned product(s) and handle basic break/fix service issues. - Testing (Novice):
Competent to develop new and execute pre‑designed program test data, load testing, and ensure validity of data passed among programs. - Product Knowledge (Novice):
Understands the product in relation to other company products, competition, life cycle, and can describe product features and benefits using key terminology. - Problem Management (Novice):
Demonstrates fundamental proficiency in incident tracking and problem reporting, writing clear problem reports and suggesting simple corrections. - Business Knowledge (Novice):
Applies functional business knowledge to meet work objectives, evaluates customer implications of technological advances, and interprets business data.
