Base Salary Range: $184000 - $276000
What You'll Be Doing- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of data architects, analytics engineers, and data engineers responsible for Synopsys' enterprise data platform.
- Partner with business and technical stakeholders to gather requirements, align priorities, and develop a strategic roadmap for data and analytics capabilities.
- Prioritize team efforts across platform enhancements, operational support, technical debt reduction, and new project delivery.
- Drive the successful delivery of data engineering projects from planning and design through implementation and production support.
- Define and enforce standards for data architecture, data modeling, data quality, governance, documentation, and platform operations.
- Establish strong delivery management practices including resource planning, execution tracking, stakeholder communication, and risk management.
- Oversee the design, implementation, and optimization of scalable data architectures, ELT pipelines, and enterprise analytics platforms.
- Ensure the reliability, availability, scalability, security, and performance of enterprise data platforms.
- Collaborate across engineering, analytics, product, and business teams to enable effective data-driven decision making.
- Promote modern data engineering best practices and continuous process improvement across the organization.
- Drive the strategic evolution of Synopsys' enterprise data and analytics capabilities.
- Enable business leaders to access trusted, high-quality data for informed decision-making.
- Improve organizational efficiency through scalable, reliable, and well-governed data solutions.
- Establish engineering standards and best practices that strengthen operational excellence.
- Build and develop high-performing teams that deliver measurable business impact.
- Position data as a strategic asset that supports innovation, growth, and digital transformation initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical discipline; advanced degree preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in Data Warehousing, Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering, or related disciplines.
- 5+ years of people management experience leading technical teams.
- Advanced hands-on expertise with:
- Snowflake
- dbt
- SQL
- Power BI
- Data ingestion platforms such as Fivetran
- Deep understanding of:
- Data architecture
- ELT/ETL pipelines
- Data modeling methodologies
- Data quality frameworks
- Enterprise-scale platform scalability and performance
- Experience supporting large-scale analytics and business intelligence environments.
- Proven experience formalizing data engineering standards, governance frameworks, operating models, and best practices.
- Strong project, program, and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with both technical and business audiences.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to connect business priorities to technology solutions.
