WASH is looking for a Senior AWS Cloud Engineer with hands‑on Dev Ops experience to help design, automate, operate, and secure our AWS cloud environment. This role will support customer‑facing and internal applications by building reliable cloud infrastructure, improving CI/CD pipelines, automating operational processes, strengthening security controls, and helping modernize our technology platforms.

The right candidate will have deep AWS experience, strong infrastructure automation skills, practical Dev Ops knowledge, and the ability to troubleshoot complex production issues. This is a senior technical role for someone who enjoys building scalable cloud platforms, improving reliability, reducing manual effort, and partnering with application, infrastructure, and security teams to deliver business value.

• Design, build, operate, and improve AWS cloud infrastructure supporting customer‑facing and internal applications.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Cloud Formation, AWS CDK, or similar technologies.
• Build, enhance, and support CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and application deployments.
• Automate repeatable operational tasks using scripting and AWS‑native services.
• Support AWS account structure, IAM, networking, compute, storage, monitoring, backup, and security services.
• Partner with application, infrastructure, security, and business teams to deliver scalable and reliable cloud solutions.
• Implement and support highly available, resilient, scalable, and self‑healing cloud environments.
• Monitor cloud environments for performance, availability, security, cost, and operational health.
• Configure and improve logging, metrics, dashboards, alerting, and incident response workflows.
• Troubleshoot production issues across AWS infrastructure, applications, deployments, networking, and integrations.
• Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and problem management activities.
• Improve cloud security posture through least privilege access, secure configuration, encryption, vulnerability remediation, logging, and governance controls.
• Help define and implement AWS standards, patterns, documentation, and operational runbooks.
• Support cloud migrations, modernization initiatives, and ongoing platform improvements.
• Identify opportunities to reduce manual work, improve deployment quality, optimize costs, and increase platform reliability.
• Serve as a senior technical resource for AWS‑related engineering, Dev Ops, automation, and operational questions.

• 7+ years of Cloud engineering, Dev Ops, systems engineering, or site reliability engineering experience.
• 4+ years of hands‑on AWS experience in production environments.
• Strong experience with AWS core services such as EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, Cloud Watch, Cloud Trail, Route 53, RDS, Lambda, EKS/ECS, ELB/ALB, Systems Manager, Secrets Manager, and AWS Backup.
• Hands‑on experience designing and supporting AWS networking, including VPCs, subnets, route tables, security groups, NACLs, VPNs, NAT gateways, private endpoints, and load balancers.
• Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code, preferably Terraform and/or Cloud Formation.
• Experience building and supporting CI/CD pipelines using Git Hub Actions, Git Lab CI/CD, Jenkins, Azure Dev Ops, AWS Code Pipeline, AWS Code Build, or…
