Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Middleware System Administrator / Dev Ops Engineer to manage, administer, monitor, and support enterprise middleware platforms built on JBoss EAP and integrated with Azure Dev Ops for source control, CI/CD, and release automation. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in JBoss administration, deployment automation, performance tuning, troubleshooting, clustering, patching, and operational support, along with hands on experience designing and supporting Azure Dev Ops pipelines and release processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, monitor, and administer JBoss EAP environments across development, QA, staging, and production.
  • Configure and support JBoss clustering, failover, and high availability environments.
  • Manage Azure Dev Ops integrations for automated application deployment.
  • Configure and support Azure Pipelines, CI/CD, release automation, and artifact management.
  • Deploy enterprise applications (WAR/EAR) using JBoss GUI and CLI tools.
  • Execute rolling deployments and perform post deployment validation.
  • Develop deployment runbooks, rollback procedures, and operational documentation.
  • Perform middleware administration, monitoring, and incident management.
  • Troubleshoot authentication, authorization, application, and middleware issues.
  • Plan and execute JBoss upgrades, patching, and configuration management.
  • Perform JVM tuning, performance optimization, and root cause analysis.
  • Develop Shell/Bash scripts to automate administration and operational tasks.
  • Monitor system utilization and perform capacity planning.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, networking, security, and application teams.
  • Maintain technical documentation and provide operational guidance.

  • Strong expertise in JBoss EAP 7.x/8.x administration
  • Experience with Azure Dev Ops
  • JBoss Standalone and Domain Mode administration
  • JBoss clustering and failover
  • Azure Repos, branching strategies, pull requests, and branch policies
  • Azure Pipelines, release automation, and artifact management
  • Application deployment using JBoss GUI and CLI
