Position OverviewSeeking a Web Accessibility Consultant to support TN DCS in remediating websites, web applications, and digital content to meet federally mandated accessibility standards, including WCAG 2.1.
Required Skills- Strong knowledge of WCAG 2.1
- HTML, CSS, ARIA
- Web accessibility auditing and remediation
- Digital content/document remediation
- Accessibility testing tools: WAVE, Siteimprove
- Assistive technologies / NVDA screen reader
- Web Development / UX / Digital Content Remediation
- Strong documentation and communication skills
- Ability to train non-technical staff on accessibility best practices
- Audit websites, web applications, and digital content for accessibility issues.
- Document issues and provide standards-based remediation recommendations.
- Collaborate with developers, designers, communications teams, and stakeholders.
- Implement accessibility improvements across web and digital content.
- Train staff and promote accessibility best practices.
