We are seeking a Web Accessibility Consultant to support a large organization's efforts to remediate websites, web applications, and digital content to ensure compliance with WCAG 2.1 and other digital accessibility standards. This role will focus on identifying accessibility barriers, developing remediation strategies, and incorporating accessibility best practices into ongoing digital processes and workflows.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive accessibility audits of websites, web applications, and digital content to identify compliance gaps and usability issues.
  • Document accessibility findings and provide clear, actionable remediation recommendations aligned with industry standards.
  • Collaborate with developers, designers, content creators, and stakeholders to integrate accessibility throughout design, development, and publishing processes.
  • Provide training, guidance, and best practices to internal teams to promote sustainable accessibility compliance.
  • Support ongoing accessibility initiatives and help establish processes for long-term digital accessibility governance.
Requirements & Skills
  • Strong knowledge of accessibility standards, including WCAG 2.1.
  • Proficiency with web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and ARIA.
  • Experience identifying, troubleshooting, and remediating accessibility issues in web content and digital documents.
  • Background in web development, UX/UI design, digital content management, or accessibility consulting.
  • Familiarity with accessibility testing tools such as WAVE, Siteimprove, Axe, and assistive technologies including screen readers (e.g., NVDA, JAWS).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain accessibility concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience creating accessibility documentation, reports, and training materials is a plus.
