Nashville, TN (Remote) Duration: 12+ Month
Job Description:
- GCP expertise (ideally Professional Data Engineer certified) - Strong SQL and Python/Scala; experience with Spark/Beam
- Hands-on with GCP services, IaC (Terraform), and CI/CD
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management
- Proactive and solution-oriented
Nice to Have:
- Experience with Looker, Vertex AI, or multi-cloud environments
- Knowledge of real-time data tools (Bigtable, Firestore)
Responsibilities:
- Design and optimize scalable, secure, and cost-efficient data architectures on GCP, aligning solutions with business goals.
- Design end-to-end batch and streaming architectures using Big Query, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Dataproc, and Cloud Storage
- Build scalable data models for analytics and ML
- Develop and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines using Data Fusion, Composer (Airflow), and dbt
- Implement security and governance (IAM, VPC-SC, DLP, encryption) ensuring compliance (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA)
- Optimize performance and cost (Big Query tuning, monitoring)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enable analytics and AI/ML use cases
