Web Accessibility Consultant
We are looking for a Web Accessibility Consultant to support a government client in improving the accessibility of its websites, web applications, and digital content.
The consultant will audit websites for WCAG 2.1 compliance
, identify accessibility issues, document findings, and recommend or implement remediation solutions. The role will work closely with developers, designers, and content teams and provide accessibility training and guidance.
Required Skills:
- Strong knowledge of
WCAG 2.1, Web Accessibility, and Section 508 - Experience with
HTML, CSS, and ARIA - Experience with accessibility testing and remediation
- Familiarity with
WAVE, Siteimprove, NVDA, or other screen readers - Experience remediating web content and/or documents
- Strong communication and documentation skills
Ideal Background: Web Accessibility Specialist, Accessibility Consultant, Accessibility Analyst, Accessibility Tester, or Web Developer with strong accessibility experience.
