HCA Healthcare seeks a Senior Data Usability Analyst to enhance how clinical and operational data is designed, accessed, and used across our Healthcare & Medical Services network. In the Data Science & AI team, you will translate complex datasets into intuitive models, dashboards, and data products that empower clinicians and leaders to make timely, patient-centered decisions. You will partner with stakeholders to define data standards, ensure quality and interoperability, and optimize workflows.

Responsibilities
- Design and optimize data models, views, and semantic layers to improve usability for clinical and business users.
- Collaborate with clinicians, operations, and IT to capture requirements and translate them into intuitive data products and dashboards.
- Define and maintain data usability standards, documentation, and data dictionaries across platforms.
- Assess and improve data quality, interoperability, and governance for key healthcare datasets.
- Lead user testing, training, and adoption efforts to maximize value from analytics tools and reports.
- Partner with Data Science & AI teams to operationalize models into usable workflows and decision-support tools.
- Monitor usage metrics and iterate on solutions to enhance performance and user experience.
- Ensure compliance with privacy, security, and regulatory requirements in handling PHI and healthcare data.
Required Skills
- SQLData modeling
- Data warehousing (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift)
- Data visualization (Tableau, Power BI, Looker)
- Python or R for data analysis
- Healthcare data standards (HL7, FHIR, ICD, CPT)
