Senior Storage Administrator
Location: Nashville, TN (Hybrid)
Type: 6 Contract-to-Hire
Compensation: $47–$53/hr (W2)
Schedule: Full-Time | Typically 8:00am–5:00pm
Start Date: ASAP
We're looking for a Senior Storage Administrator to join a well-established infrastructure team supporting a large enterprise environment in Nashville.
This role is being added to help fill a significant gap on the storage team, so the manager is looking for someone who can come in and contribute quickly, particularly with Dell Power Scale. If you've been the person people call when storage issues get difficult, this is the kind of role that's worth a closer look.
The team supports a mix of modern storage technologies and is involved in several upcoming initiatives, including disaster recovery and replication projects. While Power Scale is the biggest need today, there will be opportunities to work with other enterprise storage platforms, backup technologies, and infrastructure teams over time.
What You'll Be Doing- Administer and support enterprise storage platforms with a strong focus on Dell Power Scale
- Manage storage provisioning, capacity planning, performance monitoring, and lifecycle activities
- Troubleshoot storage performance issues, outages, and complex infrastructure incidents
- Support SAN and NAS environments, including zoning, masking, NFS, SMB/CIFS, and permissions management
- Assist with backup, recovery, replication, and disaster recovery initiatives
- Participate in storage upgrades, maintenance, and patching activities
- Work closely with infrastructure, networking, virtualization, research, and application teams
- Maintain system documentation, operational procedures, and storage inventories
- Coordinate with vendors on support cases and hardware lifecycle activities
- Participate in an on-call rotation after onboarding and ramp-up
- Strong hands-on Dell Power Scale experience
- 5+ years of enterprise storage administration experience
- Experience supporting SAN and NAS environments
- Knowledge of storage concepts including block and file storage
- Experience with zoning, fabric management, masking, and troubleshooting
- Strong operational and incident response experience
- Comfort working independently and owning issues through resolution
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical teams
- IBM Storage experience
- Pure Storage experience
- VAST Storage experience
- Cohesity backup experience
- Linux administration experience
- Disaster recovery, replication, and recovery testing experience
- Exposure to automation tools such as Ansible
