An Account Executive at Centered Insurance Partners is responsible for managing and expanding a diverse book of business with our health care clients while cultivating strong relationships with both clients and insurance carriers. This role focuses on securing new business, renewing existing policies, and offering expert advice on insurance coverage needs.
ScopeThe Account Executive will engage in various activities related to client management, business development, and underwriting, ensuring that clients receive high‑quality insurance solutions tailored to their unique requirements. This position may also involve mentoring junior team members and contributing to strategic planning for client accounts.
Responsibilities Client Management- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing exceptional service.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through the development of marketing plans and making presentations to potential clients.
- Manage the renewal process by negotiating pricing and terms with carriers and retaining existing business.
- Analyze risk profiles, recommend appropriate coverage, and ensure compliance with insurance regulations.
- Assist clients with claims by providing guidance and coordinating with claims adjusters.
- Develop strong relationships with insurance carriers, negotiate terms, and ensure timely processing of claims.
- Mentor and develop junior team members when applicable.
- Develop and implement strategic plans for client accounts, focusing on risk management and insurance program development.
- Bachelor's degree and/or a minimum of 3 years of property and casualty insurance experience or a recognized equivalent is required.
- Must hold and maintain appropriate state Property and Casualty Insurance License(s) or obtain such licensing within three (3) months of the hire date.
- Initiate, obtain, and maintain advanced designations such as API, AIS, CIC, or other relevant credentials.
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills, including proper grammar, spelling, and punctuation in all correspondence.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles or notable math skills.
- High degree of critical thinking with the ability to solve problems effectively when solutions are not readily apparent.
- Exceptional attention to detail, consistently producing outcomes with minimal errors.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing directions and priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Proficiency in a variety of technology, including MS Office.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Compliance with continuing education requirements for agent licensing and professional designations.
- Commitment to staying informed about industry trends, new production information, coverages, and technology.
