Overview
LHH is partnering with a reputable law firm to identify an experienced Legal Assistant for its Nashville office. This is a full‑time, onsite role supporting a team of attorneys within a high‑performing legal practice. The ideal candidate brings strong administrative and legal support experience, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and proofread correspondence, memoranda, and legal documents, including loan agreements, security documents, and due‑diligence materials
- Coordinate attorney calendars; schedule meetings; manage client billing and time entry
- Process new matters; handle mail, faxes, and maintain updated contact lists
- Organize and maintain electronic and physical files, databases, and confidential client documents
- Anticipate attorney needs to support timekeeper efficiency—including transactional support, closing checklists, and due‑diligence coordination
- Communicate professionally with clients, internal departments, and government agencies
- Serve as a Notary Public (when applicable)
- Collaborate with attorneys and staff across multiple office locations
- Perform additional administrative and clerical tasks as assigned
- High School Diploma required;
Bachelor’s degree preferred - Prior experience as a Legal Assistant required
- Banking or financial services experience strongly preferred
- Experience or exposure to Fintech, national security, or artificial intelligence is a plus
- Knowledge of mergers & acquisitions, deal structuring, operations, private equity, and/or venture‑capital transactions
- Strong understanding of legal terminology, legal documents, and processes, including state and federal banking regulations
- Advanced proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, Excel; experience with document‑management, e‑filing, and database systems
- Net Docs experience strongly preferred
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage competing deadlines
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment and work proactively with limited supervision
- Strong client‑service orientation and ability to work collaboratively across teams
- Flexible, resourceful, and able to adapt to shifting priorities
- May require occasional physical activity in support of office operations

Direct Hire - Location:
Nashville, TN (Fully On-site) - Compensation: $65,000-$75,000 annually
