Legal Assistant

Description

Robert Half is seeking a litigation legal assistant in Nashville, Tennessee. This contract to permanent hire position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to all stages of litigation and provide support to multiple attorneys.

Responsibilities:

- Provide comprehensive support for case preparation throughout all phases of litigation.

- Draft a variety of legal documents, including correspondence, deposition summaries, settlement agreements, simple notices, motions, summonses, and subpoenas.

- Collaborate with attorneys to collect and organize medical, employment, and other essential records.

- Schedule and coordinate court reporters, hearings, depositions, client meetings, expert witnesses, and courier services.

- Handle document filing through mail, fax, and e-filing in both State and Federal Courts.

- Create and maintain well-organized case files to ensure easy access to critical information.

- Manage attorney calendars and schedules to optimize productivity and meet deadlines.

Requirements - Proficiency in e-filing processes within State and Federal Courts.

- Strong organizational skills for calendar management and scheduling.

- Experience with drafting and filing legal documents.

- Ability to summarize and organize medical and other records effectively.

- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with multiple stakeholders.

- Familiarity with legal procedures and terminology.

- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive client information responsibly.
