Senior Manager, Senior Staff Counsel, Legal Ethics and Compliance Team

The role of Senior Manager, Senior Staff Counsel is a full-time attorney position within Asurion’s Legal Department and has responsibility to help ensure that the Company adheres to the Company’s various contractual obligations
, through the creation and maintenance of risk mitigation controls including but not limited to policies, procedures, systems, training and communications, and auditing and monitoring.

The ideal candidate will be a dynamic leader with excellent problem-solving, relationship-building, decision-making, and time management skills. Experience in contract compliance management is highly preferred.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Create and maintain risk mitigation controls, processes and systems to help ensure Asurion’s adherence with the Company’s contractual obligations.
  • Act as a liaison to other Departments to help ensure their adherence to applicable contractual provisions
  • Develop a thorough understanding of Asurion’s business, processes, and goals to provide innovative solutions that solve unique or challenging problems
  • Establishes strong collaborative relationships with cross functional teams, including but not limited to Legal, Client Services, Customer Solutions, Finance, and Supply Chain
  • Demonstrate good analytical skills and judgment
  • Conduct research projects
  • Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders
  • Actively seek operational understanding and implications of initiatives
  • Various tasks and assignments as assigned
Qualified
  • J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school
  • 5+ years of inhouse, contract and/or contract compliance experience
  • Demonstrates the ability to effectively understand, consider, and address the client or business while mitigating risk exposure
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must possess strong judgment, confidence, collaborative problem-solving skills, and ability to spot potential issues quickly
  • Must be able to independently handle a variety and number of legal matters
  • Schedules and prioritizes work and deliverables to ensure on-time response to a large variety of changing demands/requests/requirements
  • Highly organized and driven to thoroughly understand the issues and the possible implications of situations and decisions
