In House Counsel

Description

Robert Half is seeking an in-house, contracts attorney to support a corporation on a contract basis. This role involves providing expertise and support across a range of corporate and commercial matters. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in drafting and negotiating a variety of commercial agreements.

Responsibilities:

- Draft, review, and revise a variety of commercial contracts to ensure compliance with legal standards.

- Negotiate contract terms and conditions to align with company objectives and mitigate risks.

- Collaborate with internal teams including finance, human resources, and procurement.

- Conduct legal research to stay updated on industry regulations and provide informed guidance.

- Manage licensing agreements and ensure proper documentation and compliance.

- Identify potential legal risks and propose solutions to mitigate them.

- Assist in resolving disputes related to contracts or corporate matters.

- Prepare detailed reports and summaries on legal activities for internal stakeholders.

- Ensure all legal documentation is accurate, complete, and properly filed.

Requirements

- Licensed attorney with active credentials to practice law.

- Extensive experience in drafting and negotiating commercial contracts- ideally 5+ years of experience.

- Strong knowledge of corporate law and legal compliance standards.

- Proven ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide clear recommendations.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with various teams.

- High attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks.

- Proficiency in legal research and the ability to interpret regulations.

- Prior experience in an in-house counsel role is preferred.
