Our client is seeking a Procurement Sourcing Manager to lead strategic sourcing and supplier management activities across key food and beverage commodities, including coffee, tea, butter, and edible oils
. This individual will play a critical role in developing sourcing strategies, managing supplier relationships, mitigating commodity risk, and driving cost savings while ensuring uninterrupted supply to restaurant operations.

The ideal candidate will bring restaurant or food service industry experience
, a strong understanding of food ingredient procurement, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally with Culinary, Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, and Finance teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies for coffee, tea, butter, oils, and other assigned food categories.
  • Lead supplier negotiations, contract management, and strategic supplier partnerships.
  • Analyze market trends, commodity pricing, futures, and supply market dynamics to identify risks and opportunities.
  • Monitor commodity indices and provide recommendations on buying strategies, hedging opportunities, and risk mitigation plans.
  • Drive annual cost savings initiatives while maintaining quality, service, and continuity of supply.
  • Partner with suppliers and internal stakeholders to support menu innovation, product reformulations, and new product launches.
  • Manage supplier performance through KPIs related to quality, service, cost, and sustainability.
  • Collaborate with Quality Assurance and Operations teams to ensure compliance with food safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify and qualify new suppliers to improve supply resiliency and competitive positioning.
  • Prepare and present sourcing recommendations, market insights, and category strategies to leadership.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Food Science, or related field.
  • 5+ years of procurement, strategic sourcing, or category management experience.
  • Restaurant, food service, or food manufacturing industry experience required.
  • Experience sourcing food ingredients and commodities.
  • Strong supplier negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple suppliers and complex sourcing initiatives.
  • Strong analytical and financial acumen.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience managing coffee, tea, dairy, butter, edible oils, or other agricultural commodities
    .
  • Commodity market experience strongly preferred
    , including knowledge of commodity indices, futures markets, market forecasting, and risk management strategies.
  • Experience supporting multi-unit restaurant organizations.
  • Professional certifications such as CPSM, CSCP, or CPM.
