Logistics Coordinator

Location:

Nashville, TN Pay Rate: $19/hour

Schedule:

Monday through Friday, start around 7 to 8am with a standard 8-hour shift

As our Logistics Coordinator, you'll keep deliveries, pickups, and freight audits running smoothly Monday through Friday, connecting plants, vendors, and carriers every step of the way. Job Duties
  • Schedule inbound deliveries and pickups for distribution centers and manufacturing plants, and plan fleet pickups at vendor locations.
  • Audit the freight payment process for accuracy and timeliness through current freight payment systems.
  • Communicate regularly with procurement, manufacturing, suppliers, shipping and receiving, carriers, and distribution centers.
  • Complete end-of-day administration and maintain accurate logistics records.
Education Requirements

Two or more years of logistics experience, or a degree ranging from bachelor's through Master's, MBA, or Supply Chain Management, preferred; equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.

Experience Requirements

Working knowledge of distribution and logistics operations required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and online purchasing or inventory management systems required. Experience with freight payment auditing, transportation scheduling, or carrier coordination preferred. Superior customer service and phone etiquette skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across procurement, manufacturing, suppliers, carriers, and distribution centers. Ability to work productively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment and consistently meet deadlines.

Capabilities

Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods to manage scheduling, freight audits, and logistics systems. Ability to communicate effectively by phone and email with internal teams and external partners throughout the day. Ability to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.
