Inventory Specialist
As an Inventory Site Specialist, you'll play a vital role in supporting our DePuy Synthes Sales Consultants on a day-to-day basis. Think of yourself as the backbone of our local field service network! Your responsibilities will include managing inventory, processing surgical sets and trays, coordinating logistics, and ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently.
In this role, you'll work closely with Sales Consultants, Site Leadership, and various business partners to provide top-notch service. Your contributions will allow our field sales team to focus on what they do best: serving our customers and driving growth!
Salary/Pay Rate/Compensation: $28/hour
Shift: Availability to work any shift including weekdays and weekends onsite. Ability to accommodate changes in the schedule including working in other shifts per operational needs is required (late or early start, and on-call on a rotating basis)

Case Fulfillment & Sales Support
- Help Sales Consultants by sourcing the necessary inventory, instruments, implants, and trays for surgical procedures.
- Process urgent and routine case requests while keeping our service and fulfillment expectations high.
- Stay in touch with Sales Consultants about inventory availability, potential shortages, logistics issues, and case readiness.
- Assist with turnaround activities and redistribution efforts to ensure we maximize coverage and inventory use.
Inventory Management
- Receive and process incoming inventory accurately and promptly.
- Keep our inventory accurate through verification, cycle counting, and auditing.
- Handle transfers, returns, and replenishments, supporting initiatives to optimize our inventory.
Set & Tray Processing
- Inspect and process returned sets, trays, and kits.
- Identify any missing or damaged products and follow the right procedures to escalate concerns.
- Ensure the integrity of our trays and maintain accurate inventory records.
Logistics & Delivery Execution
- Pick, pack, stage, and ship inventory according to established procedures.
- Coordinate shipments using approved carriers and prepare necessary documentation.
- Monitor shipments and assist in resolving any transportation or delivery issues.
Quality & Compliance
- Follow all Quality System requirements, SOPs, and regulatory standards to maintain compliance.
- Support audit readiness and ensure a compliant work environment.
- Escalate any quality issues, inventory discrepancies, or operational risks promptly.
Operational Excellence
- Implement standardized processes that enhance efficiency and service performance.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at boosting service levels and productivity.
- Keep workstations and inventory areas organized and compliant with operational standards.
- Ideally, you have 3+ years of experience in logistics, inventory management, customer service, or a related field.
- You thrive in fast-paced operational environments and have strong attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is a plus.
- You're great at juggling multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and clear communication.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems or ERP platforms is a bonus.
- Experience in medical devices, healthcare, or distribution environments will set you apart.
- Knowledge of SAP or similar business systems is a plus.
- You have a customer-focused mindset and take ownership of your work.
- Teamwork and collaboration are second nature to you.
- You are adaptable and have a knack for problem-solving.
- You pay attention to detail and have a strong sense of urgency.
- This role requires regular lifting, moving, and handling of inventory and related materials.
- You should be comfortable standing, walking, and performing warehouse activities for extended periods.
- You'll need to lift up to company-approved weight limits and operate material handling equipment as needed.
