The Global Supplier Manager for Electrical/Electronic (EE) components is a crucial role within the Global Supply Chain EE/PCBA market, focusing on Connectors, Conductors, and Cable assembly parts for Schneider Electric. As part of the core team of the category management group, the role involves managing supplier relationships and key performance metrics, contributing to global commodity/supplier strategy, and supporting regional category leaders for performance management and process improvement.
Responsibilities:- Contribute, support, and implement global sourcing strategies in alignment with global commodity manager or director.
- Establish and decide the local supplier panel in alignment with global strategies.
- Support Regional Category Managers (RCMs) for overall performance of the commodity in the region.
- Monitor the market through constant benchmarking to continuously improve costs, quality, delivery, and technology.
- Analyze spend in assigned categories, define annual saving forecasts, and identify risks and opportunities.
- Drive implementation of the saving action plan to achieve the assigned annual cost-saving target.
- Lead supplier relationship management in the given scope and support RCMs in KPIs.
- Plan and hold business reviews to monitor performance.
- Negotiate long-term contracts.
- Support Quality Department and Operations in issue resolution with suppliers.
- Communicate effectively and manage relationships with relevant internal stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Management, Engineering or any other related field is required.
- +8 years of experience in purchasing/commodity, with preference for industrial or automotive experience.
- Extensive experience in Electronics and Electrical sourcing and category management, with a strong focus on connectors, conductors, cable assemblies, and related components.
- (We are primarily looking for candidates with deep expertise in connectors and conductors.)
- Experienced in working within a global organization and coordinating with colleagues and stakeholders across multiple regions.
- Strong analytical skills for interpreting spend data and requirements.
- Technical knowledge in mechanical electrical components is advantageous.
- Experience in building strategies and strong presentation skills.
- Good negotiation skills.
- Proven record of driving performance and delivering results.

For this U.S. based position, the expected pay range is USD 117,600 - USD 176,400 per year. This pay range includes base pay and short-term incentives. The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our pay ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level.
