Maintenance Technician

Hiring immediately for a full‑time Maintenance Technician at ESFM, a corporate Integrated Facilities Management division of Compass Group USA, located at 827 19th Avenue South, Nashville, Tennessee 37203. Online applications only. Salary: $30.00 per hour.

Schedule:

Monday‑Friday, 8:00 am‑5:00 pm. Three years of facilities maintenance experience required.

Perform a variety of maintenance duties across plant, shops, mechanical areas, exterior grounds and campus facilities.

• Maintain, repair, clean and operate plant, shops, mechanical areas, exterior grounds and campus facilities.
• Perform basic maintenance duties and repairs, contacting supervisors, skilled trade vendors or on‑call personnel as instructed.
• Update work statuses, timing and costs of repairs using company tech systems.
• Provide fleet maintenance support including welding, plumbing, electrical, food truck kitchen maintenance, vehicle operation, on‑campus fleet troubleshooting, generator fixes and general maintenance.
• Assist in making decisions on minor and routine repairs; report major problems to the supervisor, foreman or journeyman.
• Cleans sidewalks and parking areas; pick up and dispose of trash, debris, branches and similar items.
• Operate electrical and gasoline‑powered equipment.
• Maintain equipment; perform minor equipment repairs using power and hand tools.
• Perform other unskilled or semi‑skilled tasks such as minor carpentry, plumbing, painting, electrical work, lamp changing and drywall maintenance.
• Respond to emergency problems; perform emergency repairs as needed.
• Maintain logs, perform rounds and complete maintenance work orders, tests and inspections.
• Read, comprehend and transmit detailed instructions verbally and in writing.
• Serve as a member of the facility’s emergency response team.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• One year of related experience as a maintenance worker/technician in a similar‑sized institution or grounds maintenance occupation.
• Valid driver’s license.

• Exposure to high heat, noise, dust, dirt and areas requiring infection control.
• Must meet daily deadlines and be available to work all hours, including weekends and nights, as required.
