Building Maintenance Tech, Nights

Nashville General Hospital is hiring a Full Time (Day Shift Tuesday - Saturday) Building Maintenance Tech for our Facilities Management team in Nashville, Tennessee.

The Building Operations Mechanic/Building Maintenance Tech participates in the duties of maintaining a variety of plumbing, heating, air conditioning, mechanical and electrical systems for on‑site buildings. Maintains, troubleshoots and repairs facilities mechanical components and electrical systems in accordance with SOPs (standard operating procedures), internal requirements, manufacturer specifications and safety policies.

• Performs skilled maintenance and repair of complex mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and other physical structures.
• Recommends purchase of maintenance tools, equipment and supplies as required.
• Develops, maintains, and secures a spare parts inventory of basic maintenance hand and power tools.
• Assists supervisors in developing methods and procedures to improve facility efficiency and workflow.

• At least 2-3 years of experience required, 5-8 years of related work experience preferred (working in healthcare is a plus).
• High school diploma/GED required.
• Trade school or other work experience.
• Being a Building Operations Mechanic works under moderate supervision, has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline.
