Building Maintenance Engineer (Part-Time) at Kasa
Role:
Building Maintenance Engineer (Part-Time)
Location:
Onsite – Kasa Capitol Hill, Nashville, TN
Time Commitment:
Part-Time, approximately 24-30 hours per week
Anticipated
Schedule:
Weekends, evenings, and holidays may be required
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs across a range of tasks including cleaning equipment, changing filters, lubricating moving parts, minor carpentry, special projects, and related areas
- Respond promptly to maintenance work orders and repairs, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other general maintenance issues
- Maintain records for third-party vendors, preventive maintenance schedules, and repairs
- Work independently and as part of a team; maintain proactive communication within the team
- Coordinate and oversee scheduling of third-party vendors and other external parties
- Order parts and track supplies to ensure availability
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment; follow safety rules and procedures
- Partner with Trust and Safety and security vendors to establish on-site security protocols; supervise guest departures in challenging situations
- Act as primary point of contact during emergencies and address property operational issues
- Minimum 4 years of experience providing facilities support in the commercial, multi-family, or hospitality industry
- Strong working knowledge of building systems including MEP, life and fire safety, elevator modernization, HVAC, and other centralized systems
- Data-driven with the ability to interpret and analyze financial and non-financial data
- High level of independence and ability to make thoughtful decisions in fast-paced environments
- Excellent documentation of learnings and ability to scale solutions
- Clear, empathetic communication; able to present to senior leaders and operations staff
- Strong time management; able to juggle multiple time-sensitive projects
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Calm and positive demeanor in stressful situations
- Regular access to a reliable vehicle, valid driver's license, and a clean driving record with proof of insurance
