Full/Part Time Custodian - Avenue South

The Avenue South Campus Custodian reports to the Facility Crew Supervisor and Associate Facility Manager and is responsible for maintaining church facilities in a clean and orderly manner to ensure readiness for planned church activities and events.

• Set up all assembly and classroom areas of the building for church functions, including tables and chairs for banquets, special meetings, and similar occasions.
• Clean all restrooms and maintain adequate supply of soap, toilet articles, towels and other supplies in proper containers; empty wastebaskets; collect and remove refuse from buildings.
• Sweep, mop, and/or scrub and wax floors per schedule or as necessitated by events; dust furniture and shelving; wash walls and windows; vacuum carpets as scheduled.
• Prepare facilities for special use as requested by supervisor and assist when facilities and arrangements are needed for weddings and funerals.

• Make minor non-technical repairs to the building and equipment; replace light bulbs.
• Maintain task and cleaning logs and turn in to supervisor daily.
• Complete other duties as assigned by supervisor.

• High School or equivalent; 0-2 years’ experience in the field or in a related area.
