As a Housekeeper/Janitor, you’ll be responsible for cleaning projects requiring advanced training and demonstrated skill. You’ll inspect work performed in assigned building(s) and submit reports to the Supervisor. Positions may be indoors, outdoors, or a mixture of both.
Your Responsibilities- Perform a variety of cleaning/maintenance duties as assigned, including sweeping, mopping, shampooing, dusting, polishing, trash disposal, replacing light bulbs, and window cleaning.
- Inform the Supervisor of needed supplies.
- Maintain all cleaning solutions in accordance with OSHA requirements for hazardous chemicals.
- Remove trash from premises and assist in emergency cleaning.
- Properly utilize new equipment and follow safety procedures before use.
- Maintain a friendly and professional attitude.
- Maintain the appropriate level of sanitary and cleaning supplies for assigned areas.
- Inspect all assigned areas daily and report all cleaning and maintenance discrepancies to the Supervisor.
- Ensure that security procedures are adhered to at all times.
- Ensure all safety precautions are followed while performing work.
- Complete daily work orders as scheduled.
- Maintain assigned equipment in good working condition.
- As applicable, clean restrooms: sweep and mop floors, refill all dispensers (hand towels, toilet paper, hand soap), clean toilets, urinals, sinks, mirrors, and counters, empty/remove trash, and report any discrepancies or deficiencies to the Supervisor.
- High school diploma or equivalency preferred.
- Previous custodial experience preferred.
- Multiple language fluency is desirable.
- Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills required.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs following appropriate safety procedures.
- Work in an upright standing position for long periods of time.
- Crawl in small and tight spaces; work in different environmental conditions (heat, cold, wind, rain).
- Walk and climb stairs; handle, finger, grasp, and feel objects and equipment.
- Reach with hands and arms.
- Ability to quickly and easily navigate the property/building as required.
- Repeat various motions with the wrists, hands, and fingers.
- Respond to emergencies in a timely manner.
- Climb ladders and work at heights above ground level (maximum 3 ft).
As a full-time associate, you will be eligible for comprehensive benefits that include a choice of multiple medical plans, dental, and vision. Compensation and ScheduleCompensation: $21.00 hourly; paid bi‑weekly.
Schedule:
Saturday & Sunday (8 AM‑4:30 PM).
