Position Details

Assistant Operations Manager – Parking Department

Salary Range: $50,000.00 - $57,000.00 per year

Flexible Hours Are Required – Includes Some Nights And Weekends

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the day-to-day management of the assigned location, ensuring parking operations comply with contractual guidelines and fostering good client relations.
  • Participate in programs to improve client and customer satisfaction.
  • Help develop property level financial and operational goals.
  • Manage day-to-day activities at assigned locations: oversee customer interaction, supervise completion of evening closing reports, process bank deposits, schedule staff, supervise frontline staff (cashiers, valet attendants, maintenance porters, etc.), prepare month-end reports, audit daily cashier shift reports, monitor time cards, hire and train frontline staff, review damage claims, disburse petty cash, prepare annual budget.
  • Courteously assist customers by answering any questions.
  • Help maintain and repair parking equipment and any general maintenance tasks as directed by the Facility Manager.
  • Report accidents, violations, safety hazards, or unusual occurrences to the Facility Manager.
  • Assist with cleanup of debris, water, oil spills, etc.
  • Have thorough knowledge of all areas of the garage, major streets, landmarks, and freeways in the area.
  • Assist Facility Manager with other duties as needed.
Qualifications
  • Education/

    Experience:

    High school graduate; minimum six months of parking experience preferred.
  • Availability:
    Special shift requirements may vary; availability for 2nd shift, 3rd shift, and/or week-ends may be required.
  • License:
    Valid state‑issued driver’s license with current address and acceptable driving record.
  • Communication:
    Speaks clearly, listens, responds well; writes clearly and informatively.
  • Customer Service:
    Strong orientation, positive attitude, courteous and professional response to requests.
  • Adaptability:
    Adapts to changes, deals with delays or unexpected events.
  • Judgment:
    Exhibits sound and accurate judgment.
  • Physical Demands:
    Regularly required to stand, walk, handle cash and equipment; occasionally sit, climb or balance; lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
