Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  • 1. Strategic Leadership

    Provide visionary and operational leadership for Belmont Central by developing and executing a comprehensive strategy aligned with divisional and institutional goals. Direct and inspire staff to foster a collaborative, student‑centered culture. Oversee daily operations to ensure seamless, efficient service delivery. Establish and implement policies, procedures, and best practices that streamline processes, enhance service quality, and elevate the student experience. 25%

  • 2. Staff and Student Supervision

    Provide comprehensive leadership in managing Belmont Central personnel, including full‑time staff and student workers. Oversee recruitment, onboarding, training, and professional development to build a high‑performing, service‑oriented team. Establish clear priorities, schedules, and performance expectations to ensure consistent coverage and operational efficiency. Conduct regular evaluations, deliver constructive feedback, and implement strategies for continuous improvement and staff engagement. Lead conflict resolution efforts, addressing interpersonal challenges and performance issues promptly and effectively to maintain a positive and collaborative work environment.

  • 3. Committee and Initiative Leadership

    Actively contribute to university‑wide and Student Success & Flourishing (SS&F) committees, advancing initiatives that promote student success and holistic flourishing. Provide strategic oversight of the Student Health Insurance Program, ensuring all students have access to comprehensive and affordable coverage. Responsibilities include developing and implementing policies, coordinating enrollment and eligibility, managing claims, and resolving coverage‑related inquiries. Serve as chair for the Student Health Insurance Committee and provide leadership for the Bruin Emergency Fund Committee, guiding decisions that directly impact student well‑being.

    Additionally, collaborate on technology‑driven engagement strategies as a key participant in the implementation and optimization of Salesforce Education Cloud and Marketing Cloud, leveraging these platforms to enhance communication, streamline processes, and improve the student experience. 15%

  • 4. Cross‑Department Collaboration

    Cultivate strategic partnerships across academic departments, administrative units, and campus services to deliver a seamless, integrated student experience. Establish priorities and coordinate daily operations to ensure consistent coverage and efficient service delivery. Focusing on strengths, identifying opportunities, fostering mutual understanding, and promoting continuous learning, to build collaborative relationships that enhance student success and institutional effectiveness. 10%

  • 5. Student Success and Services Oversight

    Ensure Belmont Central delivers comprehensive, responsive support to students throughout their academic journey, from application and enrollment to financial aid, billing inquiries, and general student needs. Monitor student satisfaction and analyze feedback to identify improvement opportunities, implementing targeted interventions to enhance service quality. Oversee critical administrative functions, including cashiering operations, financial aid assistance, student records, and registration processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

    Exercise sound judgment in decisions with significant implications for departmental operations and strategy, contributing to initiatives that advance student success and institutional goals. 10%

  • 6. Parent & Family Engagement

    Ensure all interactions with students and families are positive, professional, and solution‑focused, fostering trust and satisfaction. Lead efforts to manage inquiries, resolve complaints, and address escalated issues promptly, while implementing strategies to enhance overall customer experience.
