Position Summary
The Project Manager is wholly responsible for the successful planning, implementation, testing, training, and closing of all assigned projects. As the single point of contact, from post-sale through project sign-off, Project Managers are expected to have exceptional communication, organization, and leadership skills, and the ability to manage all stakeholders' expectations throughout the life cycle of the project. This may require regular meetings and status updates to the owners and executive management, both internal to SWC and external to the stakeholders.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Work and behave in a manner that upholds and projects the SWC Core Values, and ensure all project team members’ behavior is consistent with these valuesLead project hand off meetings with sales and designDevelop and implement a comprehensive project planLead project kick-off meetings with owner and other stakeholdersLead pre-installation meetings with the team prior to job startingProcure any equipment or hardware as outlined in the bill of materialsAggressively manage projects on time, on scope, and on budget according to the SWC workflow processAssign and follow up on project tasks assigned to other team members based on the project plan and project timelineOrganize and facilitate ongoing project meetings with stakeholders and the project teamLead project retrospective meetings as needed, and apply lessons learned to improve processes and proceduresIdentify, assess, and mitigate risks or elevate as needed to avoid negative impact to project timeline or budgetKeep Manager and Executive Management team updated on high-risk and/or high-profile projectsKeep accurate project documentation including but not limited to budgets, change orders, scope changes, project timeline updates, meeting minutes, IPAddresses programming and any other turnover documentsAggressively works to receive project acceptance by set turnover dateLead service hand off meeting once project acceptance has been receivedCompile all turnover documentation as set by SWC standards or project contract documentsWorking knowledge of Rauland nurse call systems, paging systems, and working in a hospital environment is a plus.Other Duties and Responsibilities
- Advocate for the customer in a way that is consistent with the SWC Core Values
- Mentor and provide peer review and guidance to fellow Project Managers
- Proactively strive to improve processes and procedures in a way that will positively impact the SWC workflow process
- Attend scheduled company meetings
- Attend training classes held either onsite or offsite as required
- Occasionally travels to job sites over 2 hours away that require overnight stays
Requirements
