Department: Operations, Reports to Regional Operations Manager
Exemption Status: Exempt – 50 hours a week

Job Summary

The employee in the position will be responsible for making sure the Facility is running safely and efficiently daily to support the core business of the organization. The Facility Manager is responsible for ensuring all assigned employees understand their specific jobs and are given the appropriate training and tools to be successful.

Job Responsibilities
  • Coordinates delivery schedules and review open orders daily
  • Oversees the coordination of warehouse space allocation and layout
  • Manages preventative maintenance of facility equipment and all location vehicles
  • Oversees and ensures the cleaning of the facility interior and exterior
  • Reviews Samsara Idle Time report weekly and works to maintain an 8% overall idle time for DOT vehicles in their location
  • Ensures the facility is OSHA compliant regarding First Aid and Safety
  • Responsible for the hiring, training, coaching and termination of employees
  • Control and manage employee schedule and overtime budget
  • Monitors and maintains inventory levels with purchasing agent, responsible for inventory accuracy and reconciliation, receiving inbound freight and processing BOLs
  • Review and confirm expenses through Sales Force, Docuware and Abacus
  • Review warehouse budget with regional manager
  • Assist with picking, pulling, checking orders, loading, and unloading trucks
  • Provides/oversees onsite customer service
  • Coordination of all shipping and receiving procedures including direct ships if applicable
  • Daily order entry / LTL processing
  • Document restricted use products sales monthly, provide report to state agency when required
  • Responsible for providing a positive attitude consistent with company core values
  • Processing hazmat paperwork for existing orders as needed

Qualifications – Education, Experience, Licenses & Certifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Turf Management, Agronomy, Business Administration, Associate’s Degree in Warehouse Management, or equivalent work experience
  • 3-5 years in a location management position
  • 1-3 years of warehouse experience
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Must be hazmat‑certified
