Our Client has been providing design-build architectural, engineering, construction management, general contracting and start-up services since the '70s.
This GC's clients include healthcare institutions, educational institutions, religious institutions, Fortune 500 manufacturing companies, multinational companies and other private clients from South Carolina to Kentucky and Tennessee.
They regularly performs large-scale design-build projects in a multi-state region. They also maintain and enforce a vigorous and proactive program that includes ongoing job-site inspections, continuous training, and motivational efforts to develop safety awareness among our employees. This is led by their own in-house safety committee. This safety committee is led by our Safety Director.
Position SummaryTheir TN Division is currently seeking a Project Manager to work on a large complex projects from preconstruction through client negotiation, construction process and successful project turnover throughout the Southeast region.
Prerequisites- A minimum 8+ years of Project Management experience in addition to some field-level exposure before becoming PM.
- Coordinate with Team to initiate & develop the client-driven goals, schedules, and budgets in the preconstruction phase.
- On design-build projects, assist the design team during the design phase. Identify design inefficiencies and recommend changes to keep project on budget while still meeting the required specifications.
- Develop and maintain project budget, schedules, and cost control. Actively track each aspect of project performance against schedules and critical path.
- Complete monthly job cost projection reports and meet with management team to discuss cost and any issues on the projects.
- Provide estimating assistance to preconstruction / client as needed.
- Track and communicate weekly project schedule updates to subcontractors and owners.
- Complete subcontracts and purchase orders.
- Monitor and approve vendor and subcontractor invoices.
- Develop and process monthly pay applications.
- Submit and review change orders while effectively communicating issues and developing resolutions.
- Review and address plan details, resolve issues before they result in added budget expenditures.
- Maintain continual open communication with clients, design team, Project Superintendents, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Attend client interviews and meetings.
- Perform additional assignments at supervisor’s direction.
- Industrial or Commercial PM experience (and field experience) within the construction process.
- MS Project software scheduling experience
- Experience in industrial Project contracts.
- Bachelors Degree (at minimum) within a Technical Field (Engineering, Construction Management, or similar)
$150,000 per year
