Job Description

This position is responsible for administering the manufacturing orders process and reconciling manufacturing orders. This position will also assist with the accuracy of raw materials, finished goods, and label inventories.

The work schedule is 4:00 am - 12:30 pm

Availability to work weekends as needed

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Follow all safety, environmental rules, and regulations applicable to the position.
  • Adhere to and enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and HACCP requirements.
  • Review and prepare daily manufacturing orders (MO) for Production, Starch, BBQ, and Mustard departments across all shifts.
  • Provide guidance to Production Supervisors regarding the “needs” sheet for MO reconciliation.
  • Communicate issues affecting planning, operations, customer service, raw ingredients, and inventory.
  • Create a process to track and archive all MOs.
  • Attend staff meetings daily and be prepared to review any MO issues with the team.
  • Adapt to daily changes in production/business demands.
  • Ability to identify issues with production/inventory and elevate correctly to avoid business disruptions.
  • Works daily with the Master Scheduler to ensure schedule integrity.
  • Participate in the monthly physical inventory.
  • Obtain forklift certification to have the ability to move items when necessary.
  • Troubleshoot reconciliation issues in the departments to resolution.
  • Assist the logistics manager with inventory and shipping issues.
  • Willingness to walk the production floor regularly to support operations and gain a thorough understanding of production processes and reporting.
  • Report to Plant Superintendent.
  • Additional duties as assigned by plant management.
Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent;
Associate degree preferred.

Related

Experience:

1-3 years of relevant experience, preferably in the food industry. Manufacturing experience and familiarity with production environments. Strong expertise in supply chain management and inventory control.

Equipment/Software

Skills:

Advanced experience with MS Excel, Word, Outlook;
Inventory Management System experience, preferred.

Competencies
  • Must be detailed, highly organized, and able to prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Must have good problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage/prioritize multiple projects and tasks.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills to work as an efficient team member and lead when necessary.
Additional Information

Physical: Must be able to walk throughout the plant, including walking and climbing up/downstairs and ladders (portable, fixed). Must have ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally is required.
