Sanitation Porter is responsible for cleaning work areas, floors, walls, equipment, in and around dish room, coolers, utility area, the locker rooms/restrooms, office space area, and all areas both inside and outside of the facility. We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Sanitation Porter to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards within our food production and processing facilities.

This position involves performing various sanitation tasks to ensure a safe and compliant environment for food handling.

Responsibilities:

• Ensuring dirty dishes are washed properly (Dishwasher)
• Perform custodial duties including but not limited to sweeping, mopping, and waste disposal in designated areas
• Removing trash cans when full of waste from the production floor and keeping the floors clean at all times
• Ensuring all trash cans are replaced when full
• Cleaning other areas of the facility included but not limited to inside and outside of the building
• Ensuring the production floors are always cleaned after the production crew are finished
• Ensuring chemicals are changed when needed
• Ice removal from storage units when required
• Conduct thorough cleaning and sanitizing of production equipment, surfaces, and facilities in accordance with health and safety regulations
• Utilize appropriate cleaning agents and techniques to effectively remove contaminants from food processing areas
• Assist in the fabrication of cleaning schedules to ensure all areas are maintained regularly
• Collaborate with team members to uphold high standards of cleanliness throughout the warehouse and production zones
• Carry out heavy lifting tasks as required to facilitate the sanitation process, ensuring all materials are properly stored and organized
• Report any maintenance or safety concerns to supervisors promptly
• Works with chemicals and industrial cleaning materials
• Handles pork, poultry, meat and fish products

Requirements:

• Must be able to pass a background check
• Must be able to work weekends, holidays and work overtime when required
• Arrives to work on-time
• Must comply with company policies
• Completes paperwork and related administrative duties
• Must be able to be exposed to extreme temperature changes and noise inside and outside
• Must be able to lift, push, pull, and move products, equipment and supplies up to fifty (50) pounds frequently during shift
• Regularly stand, bend, lift, and move intermittently during shifts of 8+ hours

Experience:

• Previous experience in commercial cleaning or industrial cleaning environments is preferred
• Familiarity with food production or food processing sanitation practices is a plus
• Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks (up to 50 pounds) consistently throughout the shift
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards
• Experience working in a warehouse setting is advantageous but not mandatory

Hours: 7 am- 3:30

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 per hour
