Material Handler- 1st Shift

Overview

The Material Handler is responsible for loading, unloading, and moving materials within or near the plant, yard, or work site.

• Follow work orders and/or verbal instructions to determine materials or containers to be moved.
• Load and unload materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand and using tow motor.
• Record daily material handling metrics.
• Maintain inventory of packing materials and finished paper.
• Assist with shipping or receiving as needed.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.

• 1-2 years in an industrial manufacturing environment required.
• Prior forklift or tow motor experience preferred.
• Certification in material handling required.
• Proven ability to meet customer and management deadlines.

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); equivalent experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently up to 25 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities: close, distance, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear.
• Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.

STARTING PAY: $19.00

2nd Shift: $1.00 more per hour; 3rd Shift: $1.50 more per hour

• 1st Shift 6:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
• 2nd Shift 2:00 p.m. – 10:30 p.m.
• 3rd Shift 10:00 p.m. – 6:30 a.m.
