As a growing startup, our production needs can change quickly. Team members should be flexible, as scheduled work hours may change based on business needs, including overtime or occasional weekend work.

The Production Lead is responsible for supporting daily production operations and helping coordinate team members, materials, equipment, and workflow. You will help ensure products are manufactured safely, efficiently, consistently, and in compliance with food safety and quality standards.

This role serves as a key point of support on the production floor, helping the team meet production priorities while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

• Assist with coordinating daily production activities and priorities

• Help ensure production schedules and output goals are met

• Monitor production flow and communicate delays, issues, or changing priorities

• Ensure team members have the materials, information, and support needed to complete assigned work

• Assist with line setup, changeovers, start-up, shutdown, and production transitions

• Support accurate completion of production records, checklists, and other required documentation

• Help assign work and communicate daily priorities to team members

• Provide hands-on support and guidance during production activities

• Promote teamwork, accountability, and a positive work environment

• Help train team members on procedures, equipment, food safety, quality, and safety requirements

• Communicate team needs, performance concerns, and operational issues to management

• Work independently while coordinating closely with production, warehouse, and management teams

• Follow and reinforce GMP, food safety, sanitation, and quality requirements

• Monitor production activities to ensure products are made according to specifications

• Complete and review required production and quality documentation

• Identify and report product, process, equipment, or food safety concerns promptly

• Help investigate and correct production or quality issues

• Ensure proper product identification, labeling, handling, and storage procedures are followed

• Ensure work areas, equipment, and tools are cleaned and maintained according to procedures

• Follow all workplace safety, sanitation, and personal hygiene requirements

• Verify proper use of PPE and safe operation of production equipment

• Report injuries, hazards, equipment concerns, and unsafe conditions promptly

• Support compliance with allergen control, contamination prevention, and sanitation procedures

• Identify opportunities to improve workflow, efficiency, quality, and safety

• Help reduce waste, downtime, rework, and material loss

• Support troubleshooting and resolution of production challenges

• Provide feedback on processes, equipment, staffing, and production needs

• Adjust priorities and assist with warehouse or production needs as required

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

• Production, manufacturing, food manufacturing, or related experience preferred
