, in partnership with a prominent fabrication shop in the Nashville TN area, is seeking a Carpentry Shop Helper to join their team!
Position Summary
Seeking flexible, hourly shop/warehouse support (9 AM–5 PM window). Must be positive, dependable, and eager to learn. Reports to the Production Manager.
Pay & Schedule
- $20/hour
- Day Shift
Key Responsibilities
Tasks include but are not limited to:
- Organizing and cleaning
- Packing and unpacking
- Running errands
- Assist employees with builds/build prep
- Shop/machine maintenance
- Painting
- Sanding
- Assist in print shop
- Assist if skilled in specific trade areas
Skills & Qualities
- Working knowledge and hands-on experience with fabrication tools and machinery
- Detail-oriented, organized, and proactive
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Able to multitask and problem-solve quickly
- Team player with basic tool and equipment knowledge
Good physical strength and stamina is required, this job is extremely hands on. This position will include working in many conditions and environments including outdoors and on location when traveling.
- Performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials
- Spends the majority of the time walking/standing and talking/hearing
- The workday includes kneeling/crouching/stooping, using hands and reaching
- Frequent lifting required of items 50 pounds plus
- Able to wear common protective or safety equipment such as safety shoes, glasses, gloves, hearing protection, respirator masks, and hard hats when needed
