This is a 36 bed high acuity unit that cares for a variety of surgical patients from general surgery, gastrointestinal, head/neck, and vascular. This unit develops nurses to have a broad range of knowledge, become experts in post‑op, recovery, and master all nursing skills.

The Registered Nurse performs direct patient care within the scope of the Registered Nurse Practice Act.

• As Med‑Surg RN, you will perform direct patient care within the scope of the Registered Nurse Practice Act.
• You will use therapeutic communication in daily practice and maintain a safe therapeutic environment.
• You will identify nursing problems as they relate to the individual needs of the patient.
• You will plan individualized patient care utilizing an interdisciplinary approach.
• You will participate in performance improvement activities.
• You will provide care and coordinate participation that fosters the goals of the hospital’s mission and vision statement.

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Professional Nursing
• Current RN licensure (or eligible)
• 1 year clinical experience preferred
• CPR certificate
