Acute Care Nurse

Acute Care Nurse – Tri Star Centennial Medical Center, part of HCA Healthcare.

As a Registered Nurse, you will deliver high‑quality, patient‑centered care in the Acute Care setting. You will collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams, advocate for patients, and apply nursing models such as “Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.”

• Assess the patient's condition during admission and each scheduled shift and promptly identify and report any changes.
• Perform physician‑ordered procedures, monitor patients, and document care administration in the patient’s medical record.
• Administer medications, monitor therapeutic response, and intervene if a medication reaction occurs.
• Respond promptly to patient requests, anticipate needs, and resolve issues.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers about the patient's condition, treatment plan, medications, side effects, and follow‑up care, translating complex terminology into understandable language.

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification, obtained within 30 days of employment.
• Associate Degree, RN Diploma, or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (or equivalent).
