Job Details (Travel Nursing Contract)- Job Title: Travel ICU Registered Nurse (RN) – Night Shift
- Location: Nashville, TN 37203 (central Nashville near Midtown and downtown attractions)
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1570–$1650
- Start Date: 03/16/2026
- End Date: 06/15/2026
- Duration: 13-week travel contract
- Healthcare Setting: CCU / ICU (32-bed unit)
- Schedule: 36 hours/week
- Shift Duration: 12 Hour Nights
- Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Weekend Requirement: Typically 3–4 weekend shifts per 4-week scheduling period
- Floating: Float as needed based on unit census and staffing needs
Job Requirements
- Experience: Strong critical care experience required; cardiac critical care experience required
- License: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (state license requirements apply)
- Certifications: Current BLS and ACLS
- Advanced Cardiac Skills (required/strongly preferred):
- PA catheter (Swan-Ganz) and hemodynamic monitoring
- IABP (Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump)
- Impella
- CRRT (preferred)
- Clinical Comfort: Central line/Swan support and assisting with intubations in a high-acuity ICU environment
- Provide critical care nursing support for CCU/cardiac critical care patients, including cardiogenic shock populations
- Complete comprehensive assessments; interpret telemetry, hemodynamic data, and trends; and escalate changes in patient condition promptly
- Manage and monitor advanced cardiac support devices (IABP, Impella) according to unit protocols and provider orders
- Support CRRT therapy when applicable and collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to optimize patient outcomes
- Administer medications and titrate vasoactive/critical drips as ordered; complete required documentation per facility policy
- Coordinate procedures and ensure safe handoffs and transitions of care across units/services as needed
- Promote a positive patient and family experience through clear communication, education, and compassionate care
- Follow unit dress code (scrubs in galaxy blue, red, or black; scrub jackets/vests only) and adhere to all safety and infection prevention standards
- Join a growing cardiogenic shock program with providers focused on specialized cardiac critical care populations
- Experience strong teamwork and an engaged unit culture with recognition programs (e.g., Daisy Award)
- Work in a well-supported ICU with externs/tech support and unit secretary coverage during the week
