RN Director, Emergency; ER

About the Hospital and Department:

• Hospital: 250+ bed award winning non-profitcommunity hospital that has served its community for over 75 years
• Primary Stroke Center and Chest Pain Center designated
• Position will manage a growing 40+ bed ED that sees over 50k annual patient visits - the hospital has plans to build a new ED in the future - design development is underway
• Strong support structure including a team of Managers/Supervisors, Quality/PI Support, Dedicated ED Case Management, and Department Educator
• Reports directly to a dynamic and transformational Chief Nursing Executive

Primary responsibilities will include providing the strategic direction of the department, ensuring effective staffing strategies, improving and maintaining key performance indicators, serving as a mentor to the nursing team, and building positive physician relationships. We are seeking a collaborative and dynamic leader who will be able to ensure the best patient care is provided to our community.

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required / Master s preferred
• Active RN License State of Tennessee
• Minimum five (5) years of ER leadership experience
• Minimum seven (7) years clinical ED nursing experience
• Must have a demonstrated track record of success in leading teams, and improving patient outcomes
• Should possess excellent communication skills across all levels
• Collaborative, team building personality style
