The Unit Manager (LPN or RN) oversees daily nursing operations on the assigned unit. This role is ideal for a clinically skilled, organized, and empathetic nurse who enjoys leadership, problem-solving, and ensuring compliance with all nursing standards and state/federal regulations.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise, mentor, and support nursing staff on the unit.
- Oversee resident care planning, assessments, and documentation.
- Ensure adherence to nursing best practices, facility policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members including physicians, therapists, and social workers.
- Monitor staff performance and assist with coaching, competency checks, and evaluations.
- Participate in admissions, transfers, and discharge planning.
- Manage workflow, assignments, and daily coordination of resident care.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff to ensure high-quality service and satisfaction.
- Assist with staff scheduling and coverage as needed.
- Participate in audits, quality assurance activities, and care meetings.
- LPN or RN license in TN.
- Prior experience in a skilled nursing facility or long-term care strongly preferred.
- Leadership or supervisory experience is a plus.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational abilities.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation for the role will depend on several factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and may fall outside of the range shown.
