Travel RN - Cardiovascular ICU

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Critical Care Unit (ICU) position in Nashville, TN, requiring a TN or Compact RN license and a minimum of 2 years of critical care experience.

Job Details

• Works in a 42-bed Critical Care Unit comprised of a 28-bed Medical/Surgical ICU and a 14-bed Neuro ICU,

• Patient population includes diagnoses such as ARDS, septic shock, stroke, intracranial hemorrhage, post-craniotomy, liver failure, acute renal failure, MOFS, pancreatitis, and post-neuroradiology interventional procedures,

• Primary service lines include cardiothoracic surgery (open heart recovery) and neuro/neurosurgery,

• Ages served range from adolescent through late adult (14-60+),

• Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:2,

• Direct patient care staff includes RNs and Patient Care Techs,

• Night shift: 18:45-07:15,

• 13-week assignment,

Job Requirements

• Active TN or Compact RN license required,

• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (both must be AHA-issued),

• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required,

• Minimum 2 years of critical care (ICU) nursing experience required,

• Must successfully complete a proctored cardiac rhythm test,

• Must possess a valid US Social Security Number and provide a US home address,

• Driver's License required for consideration,

• 2 professional references required for consideration,

• Full DOB and full SSN required for consideration,

• High-acuity, fast-paced ICU environment serving some of the most critically ill patients in the Nashville area, drawing patients from across Tennessee and beyond,

• ECMO experience is a plus given the unit's history of caring for complex patients including those requiring extracorporeal membrane oxygenation,
