Position Title

Cardiac Rehab Nurse PRN

As a Cardiac Rehab Nurse PRN, you will perform direct patient care within the scope of the Registered Nurse Practice Act, utilizing therapeutic communication, maintaining a safe therapeutic environment, identifying nursing problems, and planning individualized patient care using an interdisciplinary approach. You will participate in performance improvement activities, coordinate care, and serve as a role model and clinical resource for staff.

• Ensures privacy of patients and confidentiality of PHI
• Meets mutually agreed upon performance goals/objectives
• Utilizes nursing process to meet patient needs
• Performs technical skills and procedures
• Documents all patient care
• Demonstrates critical thinking skills
• Promotes customer service initiatives
• Shows teamwork
• Completes mandatory education
• Complies with hospital policies, procedures and patient safety initiatives
• Undergoes training related to hazardous medications per Hazardous Drug Policy

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 30 days of employment start date
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within 60 days of employment start date
• Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Associate Degree in Nursing
