Job Summary: Applies the nursing process to plan and implement the care of patients, including patient and family education and continuum of care planning. Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to the health care team. Collaborates in establishing patient goals and evaluates progress to ensure effective outcomes. Furthers professional growth by engaging in learning activities according to the Board of Nursing standards.
Full-Time | Mid Shift (3 shifts/week)

9:00 AM - 9:30 PM, 10:00 AM - 10:30 PM, and 11:00 AM - 11:30 PM - Occasional Saturday rotation required
Specific shift placement will be aligned based on unit needs and candidate preference when possible.
Join a dynamic Cardiac Cath Holding Room team that plays a vital role in preparing and recovering patients undergoing cardiac catheterization and other interventional cardiology procedures. Nurses in this area provide specialized care for patients before and after procedures, ensuring safe transitions, close monitoring, and patient education in a fast-paced procedural environment.
Patient Population Includes- Patients undergoing cardiac catheterization procedures
- Interventional cardiology procedures
- Pre-procedure preparation and post-procedure recovery
- Patients requiring cardiac monitoring and post-sedation care
- Adults with a variety of cardiovascular conditions
- Gain experience supporting patients undergoing advanced cardiac and interventional procedures
- Work in a dynamic setting focused on efficient patient flow, procedural preparation, and recovery
- Partner closely with cardiologists, cath lab staff, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care
- Inpatient cardiology, procedural, stepdown, or ICU experience
- Experience with cardiac monitoring and post-procedural care preferred
- Adult acute care nursing experience strongly preferred
- Collaborates in establishing the plan of care, coordinates and implements care delivery while anticipating patient care needs across the continuum.
- Analyzes comprehensive information pertinent to the patient's care and management to determine nursing diagnosis.
- Continually utilizes the nursing process to evaluate patient’s progress towards goals and applies appropriate interventions to ensure effective outcomes.
- Employs strategies to promote health and a safe and healthy environment.

- Care Planning (Novice): Demonstrates ability to anticipate resource needs, identify distinct tasks, set priorities, schedule activities, meet deadlines, and organize work within areas of direct responsibility. Competently handles multiple assignments often simultaneously by prioritizing work into manageable and measurable units. Ability to adapt to changes to patient care and area needs with minimal disruption and loss of productivity. Follows up to assure problems and issues are resolved.
- Nursing Patient Education (Novice): Possesses sufficient fundamental proficiency in providing patient education in practical applications of moderate difficulty.
