Women’s ER Nurse

As the Registered Nurse performs direct patient care within the scope of the Registered Nurse Practice Act, utilizes therapeutic communication daily, maintains a safe therapeutic environment, identifies nursing problems relative to individual patient needs, plans individualized patient care with an interdisciplinary approach, participates in performance improvement activities, and coordinates care to foster hospital mission and vision.

Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate knowledge of human growth and development, assessment range of treatment, and care of patients appropriate to the ages of patients served.
  • Promote customer service initiatives along with Centennial Medical Center Service Values (HCAHPS).
  • Document all patient care in a timely manner.
  • Utilize the Nursing Process for individual care to meet needs of patients.
  • Demonstrate ability to perform technical skills and procedures.
  • Promote compliance with National Patient Safety Goals.
Qualifications
  • Social skills to positively engage with patients, guests, physicians, and other employees.
  • Degree from an accredited School of Professional Nursing (B.S. or A.S.).
  • Current licensure by Tennessee Board of Nursing or appropriate compact State.
  • BLS certification.
  • 1 year of RN experience required.
  • Labor and Delivery experience highly preferred.
