The Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) registered nurse administers medications, checks vital signs, and alerts doctors of any major changes in a patient’s condition. The RN acts as a liaison between doctors and patients, ensuring patient welfare and communicating with families. Daily care includes:

• Administer care for patients following open‑heart surgery.
• Manage treatment and care of heart transplant patients.
• Educate families on ongoing patient needs and care.

• Active RN license.
• Degree from an accredited nursing program.
• Current BLS & ACLS certifications.
• At least 18 months recent experience in an acute‑care CVICU setting.
