Job Summary and QualificationsThe Registered Nurse in Admission and/or Discharge coordinates and delivers high‑quality, patient‑centered care by overseeing the effective management of patients into and out of the acute care hospital setting. The RN Admission/Discharge utilizes specialized assessment skills to ensure quality admission to the appropriate care areas, and safe discharges of acute care patients requiring education and post‑hospitalization care. The RN Admission/Discharge serves as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers and models a commitment to the organization’s vision, mission, and values to support an unparalleled patient experience and optimum clinical outcomes.
Requirements:
- Current Registered Nurse license in Tennessee or appropriate compact state.
- Strong communication skills.
- Education:
ASN preferred; BSN preferred.
