Night Shift 12 hours/day, 3 days/week. 13‑week contract, starts 8/03/2026.

• Number of Beds: 630 has 34 beds, 633 has 25 beds
• Patient Ratios: 1:4 to 1:5 on days, 1:5 to 1:6 on nights
• Unit Staffing: 3 techs full shift on 630, 2 techs on 633
• Equipment: bipap, high‑flow oxygen, vapotherm, Alaris pumps, cardiac drips, heparin drips, insulin drips, peritoneal dialysis, wound vacs with wound care
• Documentation System:
  Meditech
• Floating Policy: may float between PCU units or to med‑surg floors
• Patient
  
  Experience:
  
  hourly rounding on days, every 2‑hour rounding on nights, AIDET, communication boards on 7th floor (Dept 633 has TV boards)
• Scheduling: every other weekend required, 3 12‑hour shifts per week, self‑scheduling, 4‑week schedule

• BLS
• ACLS

• Critical thinking, EKG rhythm interpretation, cardiac, insulin, and heparin drip experience
• Peritoneal dialysis preferred, peripheral IV skills
• Experience with bipap, high‑flow O2, multiple oxygen delivery systems, stroke and post‑cardiac cath care, tube feedings, NG/Dobhoff tubes

• ACLS, bipap, high‑flow O2, multiple oxygen delivery systems, stroke, post‑cardiac cath, peritoneal dialysis, tube feedings, NG/Dobhoff tubes

• Peritoneal dialysis
• Thoracentesis, paracentesis, chest tube insertions
• Dobhoff/NG tube insertions, central line dressing changes
• Wound vac troubleshooting

Unit does self‑scheduling. Schedules are 4 weeks, and contracts require working every other weekend. Utilize techs to assist in care. Most travelers extend after the first time on PCU. Care like family culture and great teamwork.
