Women’s ER Nurse Job Summary and Qualifications
The Registered Nurse performs direct patient care within the scope of the Registered Nurse Practice Act.
Utilizes therapeutic communication in daily practice. Maintains a safe therapeutic environment. Identifies nursing problems as they relate to the individual needs of the patient. Plans individualized patient care while utilizing an interdisciplinary approach. Participates in performance improvement activities. Provides care and coordinates participation that fosters the goals of the hospital’s mission and vision statement.
Responsibilities- You will demonstrate knowledge of human growth and development, assessment range of treatment, and care of patients appropriate to the ages of patients served.
- You will promote customer service initiatives along with Centennial Medical Center Service Values (HCAHPS).
- You will document all patient care in a timely manner.
- You will utilize the Nursing Process for individual care to meet needs of patients.
- You will demonstrate ability to perform technical skills and procedures.
- You will promote compliance with National Patient Safety Goals.
- Social skills to positively engage with patients, guests, physicians, and other employees.
- Degree from an accredited School of Professional Nursing (B.S. or A.S.).
- Current licensure by Tennessee Board of Nursing or appropriate compact State.
- BLS.
- 1 Year of RN experience required
- Labor and Delivery experience highly preferred
