Employing a concise focus, Williamson Health is looking for a skilled Registered Nurse to coordinate, implement, and plan nursing care efficiently.

Position Summary

To coordinate, implement, and plan nursing care in a timely and accurate manner.

Position Requirements
  • Earned a nursing diploma or degree from a college or university.
  • Licensed in the State of Tennessee.
  • BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
  • For 3rd floor telemetry unit:
    • Basic arrhythmia within 6 months of hire.
    • ACLS within 6 months of hire.
  • For float pool and extended float pool:
    • Basic arrhythmia within 6 months of hire.
    • ACLS within 6 months of hire.
    • Non‑Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) certification within 6 months of hire.
  • For critical care:
    • Basic arrhythmia within 6 months of hire.
    • ACLS within 6 months of hire.
    • Non‑Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) certification within 6 months of hire.
    • AACN, CCRN or CCP certification within two years of hire.
  • For Oncology:
    • ONS chemo/immunotherapy certification within one year of hire.
  • For Adult Emergency Room:
    • At least one year of emergency experience preferred.
    • TNCC preferred.
    • ACLS within 6 months of hire.
    • PALS within 6 months of hire.
    • Non‑Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) certification within 6 months of hire.
  • For Pediatric Medical Surgical:
    • At least one year of pediatric in‑hospital experience preferred.
    • PALS within 6 months of hire.
    • Non‑Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) certification (8‑hour, non‑physical training) within 6 months of hire.
  • For Pediatric Emergency Room:
    • At least one year of pediatric emergency experience preferred.
    • PALS within 6 months of hire.
    • ACLS within 6 months of hire.
    • Non‑Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) certification (8‑hour, non‑physical training) within 6 months of hire.
    • ENPC or TNCC within 6 months of hire.

Physical Environment
  • Adult medical/surgical unit with patient population ranging from adolescent to > 99 years of age
  • Pediatric medical/surgical unit with patient population ranging from neonate to 21 years of age
  • Critical Care unit with patient population ranging from adolescent to > 99 years of age
  • Oncology unit with adult patient population
  • Adult emergency department with patient population ranging from less than one year of age to > 99 years of age
  • Pediatric emergency department with patient population ranging from neonate to 21 years of age
Physical Effort
  • Able to communicate in English verbally and legibly.
  • Requires prolonged standing and working for up to twelve hours a day.
  • Able to stand/work for up to twelve hours a day.
  • Able to lift with assistance up to 250 lbs.
Key Results
  • Performs a comprehensive assessment on all patients within the appropriate time of admission utilizing skills of observation, communication and examination; including data obtained from patient, family and other members of the healthcare team.
  • Plans the patient's care on an individual basis, identifying problems/needs, nursing diagnosis, standards of care/practice, interventions consistent with identified problems and attainable outcomes.
  • Plans for patient teaching, discharge and post discharge needs as appropriate for patient population.
  • Functions independently with treatments, procedures and equipment appropriate to areas evidenced by adherence to policy, procedure and competency based assessment and no pattern or trend of problem.
  • Handles/transports/stores/prepares/administers medications/solutions safely and in accordance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Documents accurately and timely.
  • Reassesses patient's condition, evaluates patient response and modifies plan of care accordingly and in a timely manner.
