Lab Coordinator, School of Nursing

The purpose of the Open Lab is to provide a time for students to be able to come and practice their skills. The Open Lab coordinator is expected to provide coverage and instruction for students attending the open lab.

• Plan a skill to review each week, which includes an instructional sheet and supplemental information.
• Ensure coverage in the lab during open hours.
• Accommodate student requests for learning.
• Set up the skill at the beginning of each week.
• Keep statistics on the utilization data for the lab.

The successful candidate must have skills in critical thinking, problem solving, judgment and organization; demonstrate creative leadership practices; and possess excellent management skills with a collaborative attitude.

Candidate must have a registered nursing license in Tennessee.

Education

Bachelors (preferred)
