Overview

The Marian University Nashville Accelerated BSN program seeks energetic Nursing Instructors to oversee student clinical rotations in the Indianapolis area. As a Nursing Clinical Adjunct Instructor, the primary responsibility is the clinical education of ABSN students. Clinical Instructors are assigned teaching responsibilities in a clinical area at partner health care facilities in the Indianapolis area and are expected to contribute to the education of students including psychomotor skills, standards of practice, and critical thinking.

• Preferred:
  Three+ years of teaching experience
• Master’s degree in nursing
• Minimum:
  Current unencumbered RN license in Tennessee
• Completed BSN AND National Certification OR attending MSN OR 10+ years experience as RN
• Three years of successful clinical nursing practice
• Able to work 8–12-hour shifts in clinical setting

• Facilitate effective student learning in the assigned clinical setting
• Provide adequate guidance for students in the clinical setting related to professionalism, practice, and research
• Select and organize learning activities which facilitate the student’s attainment of the course objectives
• Ensure effective evaluations of student practice
• Promote evidence-based practice
• Provide a supportive learning environment by providing feedback on student progress to supervisory personnel
• Collaborate with other faculty, administration, and the healthcare partner and its staff
• Attend all required orientation, training and faculty meetings
